after daylong consideration....
Checked the publisher's guidelines. 100-150k words. I'm going to go for the lower range -- 110k -- and write the story I want. Which is how it should be.
I don't seem to write tiny. I seem to write about characters who wander, meet other characters, find other plots, have parents with interesting backgrounds, and villains with way too much freetime.
Still wrestling with the anxiety that says my work is little more than highly polished fanfiction. Grumble.
