chapter three and guh
I calculated that I need to whittle the book down to twenty-three 3600-word chapters. MY GOD HAS FORSAKEN ME.
(It's currently sitting at 113,000 words and 32 chapters, FYI.)
So, what am I learning? How to pace an outline according to my writing style, and specifically to short it words because rewrites will swell the wordcount. Had I known that when I started, I would have shot for 70k words in the first draft (rather than 90k) and filled out the rest in revisions.
I'm learning! I'm learning! I'm thirty and I'm still fucking learning. How awesome is that?
Anyway, I'm ripping myself away from Four to go to bed. I appear to be back in a groove, ya'all. It came at the end of the three-day weekend, but -- whatevah. At least I got the lawn mowed and the trains running on time.

we are eternal
all this pain is an illusion
