chapter twomore
My Sunday was full of powertools and meat grilling. I'm feeling somewhat manly. I suppose this might have something to do with the male main character I'm currently writing. Oh dear.
Anyway, I have a clear idea of where the chapter is going. And Tuesday, I tell myself, I will finish it out.
I definitely need to find a way to get my mind into that track of writing every night again. Exercise is helping. I don't feel as sluggish when I have an exercise regiment. Go, endorphines, go!

chapter two eh?
"Freshly severed heads were messy, which was why Myr didn't bring them to the village that way. "
Hunh. So that was the first stab at starting chapter two. Apparently in the last year, Myr turned into a quasi-serial killer.
And, uh, something else just came to me for the next chapter.
GUHBUHWHOA. Yeah, I have to write that.

fun with language
End of the first chapter. Now I have to think of a dynamite way to introduce the other main character in chapter two.
I had fun with language toward the end of chapter one, and I had fun with court politics at the start of it, which means I have now done two things that either prove I'm pretentious or not as smart as I think I am -- I'll know better later, and I know not to mess with it now. So...I won't.

tentative writings
Futzing around with barons, dukes, and hunters. So far I like it, but don't I always?
We are entering a fallow period, which is nice. I needed one. Work is still busy, but I am staying put in Missouri until October, and that is a blessing, indeed.
In fact, I only have three trips planned between now and the end of the year! Hurray!
I will return to this on the morrow.

freeform plotting
Still doing stuff, just forgetting to post about it. I am currently working on a chapter one I don't hate, and some freeform plotting for DW.
I'm also done (more or less) with my con season, which is a good thing. Next travel date is October, so I should be able to, like, write again.
I really need to pick up a lightweight laptop as soon as my finances allow.
