how my night went
Cut. Add. Cut. Add. Shoo cat. Cut. Add.
One more night of this, and I should have a first draft. No, really.
People are either going to hate this format or blithely accept it. I am not questioning it. Much.
Bed now.
- And life leads me here
It shows me, I have never really loved no one but me
Like the time you slipped through my hands
I'll never understand why I'm such a Selfish Man

he said I will always comfort thee
Stopping early tonight. Still haven't resolved or, in my opinion, appropriately set up the conflict. Working on that.
Too many words. May have to drop one of the story threads to favor the main thread.
Arrrr. I should just write novels. It's easier.
I did leave this helpful note to myself:
- Screaming kids!
Ghost stories!
I saw something in the forest and then Herda came out and the thing ran away!
I can't stop listening to Flogging Molly until the story is done. Flogging Molly is this story's official band, goddammit, and I will wear those MP3s into digital dust if I have to.

black friday rule
More work done. Closing in on a final first draft. I'm going to run over, which means I'll need to chop words.
Hurray!

the spoken wheel
2000 words. Shooting for 6100, the same length as the last one. I think I have introduced everyone properly, and I wrote a rough outline, which I like, but I don't know how Wil is going to do what he said he's going to do, which is fucking obnoxious, but that's the THRILL of writing stories, eh?
The sucky thing about short stories is the need to limit characters. I am so not good at that. Er, and by characters I mean personages. I don't mean the actual letters themselves...that would just be silly.
Mardis Gras this weekend...Superbowl Sunday...the mega birthday party of doom (not my own). Argh. I'm going to have to steal another two hours from somewhere.
- your passing broke the silence
on that dark October day
the sun was headin' for the west
as it did, I heard you say,
"I set my sail for a gentle breeze,
Now I leave this world as it was meant to be.
And you, did you listen?
To anything I said?
Did you ever listen to me?"
